NASCAR is one of the most watched sports around. You have the honor of planning a birthday party for a huge fan of this sport. It is easy as long as you use your creativity and have fun with it. Follow these steps and you will be planning a NASCAR-theme birthday party that puts you in victory lane with all of your guests.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Set your budget. No party is worth going into debt over. Set your budget and stick with it. Consider everything you must pay for such as food, party favors and entertainment. Use your money wisely; shop around and find the best prices.

  2. Step 2

Choose a location. Your living room or den would make a great choice, as would your backyard. If you having more guests than your home can accommodate, you should consider renting a venue. Be sure to sign a contract and have all the details in writing. You might want to go to a local go-cart park. Think of all the fun everyone would have racing go-carts!

  3. Step 3

Make the guest list. Decide who you want to invite to the NASCAR-theme birthday party. You can limit the guests to close friends and family members. You can also go all out and invite everyone the guest of honor knows. It is up to you and your budget. Decide if you want to send invitations. It is not a requirement, but is a nice touch. You can hand-make the invitations or visit the NASCAR store online and see what they have available.

  4. Step 4

Create the menu. Consider your guests and any dietary restrictions they might have. Do not forget the guest of honor - include his or her favorite foods if possible. Give your dishes NASCAR names such as "Goodyear Burgers" (the type of tires NASCAR uses) and "Last Lap Lemonade." Get creative and fun with the food you serve.

  5. Step 5

Decorate using the NASCAR theme. Display the guest of honor's favorite driver's number. Use the colors of that driver's car for streamers and balloons. Use aluminum pie plates decorated as hubcaps to hold the party favors. You can even decorate the room like a specific track like Darlington or Talladega. Do not forget to have checkered flags and to label the restrooms as "Pit Row."

  6. Step 6

Plan the entertainment. Charades where the guests act out their favorite drivers would be fun. Visit a go-cart park and have your own races. If you have a Hot Wheels track, hold your own races at home.

on 4/17/2009 Sounds like good advise and a lot of fun. Hey I found an online store that carries a lot of Nascar party decorations if you are interested. RacePartyDecorations.com. I had trouble finding racing decorations in my local party store and found this store online. They only sell race decorations so it's easy to find everything you need for kids or adult parties.
