Make Fake Snow

Need help decorating for the holidays but don't want to spend tons of money on fake snow? Here are a few ideas on how to create your own fake snow to add to your Christmas decorations!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Buy a bag of cotton from a craft store. Tear it apart into the required amount of fake snow you'd like to have and decorate. Cotton is just as good as the commercial snow that is sold.

  2. Step 2

Have a box of instant mashed potatoes? The potato flakes can look like fake snow in appearance. Just be careful how you use them! You won't want to attract bugs!

  3. Step 3

Boxed soap flakes can also do the trick if you want a product that more closely resembles snow flakes. Again, be careful how you use this one. Animals or children getting into this might not be the best.

  4. Step 4

Shred or cut paper into tiny pieces and scatter around your snow setting!

  5. Step 5

Have white plastic garbage bags? Shred these for a realistic snow look!

Tips & Warnings
  • Always make sure you use these items appropriately and keep away from animals and children.
