Things You'll Need:
- Ice Melt
- Snow pusher
- Snow Blower
-
Step 1
Remove snow from your walkways with a Snow Pusher. Unlike the classic shovel the snow pusher has wheels; this will help you in working through packed snow covered pathways.
-
Step 2
After your walkways, patio and driveway are cleared you will want to apply some Ice Melt pellets. These pellets will immediately liquefy the ice. By using Ice melt it will allow you to walk freely without worrying about falling. Be sure to read the ingredients to make sure that you are purchasing an Ice melt that is environment friendly.
-
Step 3
For homes that have drifts of snow, or snow that is compacted up against your home to the point that you are snowed in. You will need to get serious and get a Snow Blower. A 9 horse power Snow Blower will remove the toughest drifts, and will enable you to come out of the house. You won’t have to ask your husband twice to blow away the snow. He will be eager to get to work at removing the snow. You will view 20 feet of snow blowing off to the side and a grin on your husbands face from ear to ear.

on 11/20/2008 I was from a very cold place and the government use to use salt to get rid of snow and ice on the road. Now, I live in southern California, I don't have to worry about snow and ice. Great article!
