Things You'll Need:
- Respect
- Pride
- Honor
-
Step 1
The first thing that you should do is learn as much as you can about Veteran's day. Veteran's day takes place on November 11th. Try visiting the veteran's day official site, simply go to google to find this.
-
Step 2
Find someone you know that is a veteran. Ask them questions that you would like to know, often, many of them have stories to tell and you will need to do little talking. Although, you should do this with respect as many veterans don't want to talk about certain things.
-
Step 3
Display a flag on your property, clothing, or do something so veterans know that you care and recognize the sacrifice they gave up.
-
Step 4
Visit a National Cemetary or find out if you had any veterans in your family that you could honor.
-
Step 5
Visit a veteran's hopsital. These hospitals are all over the country and typically the residents would love for visitors to come and talk to them.
-
Step 6
Send a veteran a card or do something nice for them. Often times, older veterans have a hard time moving around. A little nice deed could really make them feel good.
