Things You'll Need:
- Price book
- Aldi's
- Price Chopper
-
Step 1
Make a price book. Decide on how many items to compare. Make these items things you normally purchase every week or every two weeks. Go to Price Chopper (or any other store of your choosing) and write down the prices of items.
-
Step 2
Save MoneyGo to Aldi's. Write down the price of the exact items you picked at the other store. Compare the two price evaluations. Prices vary from store to store and week to week. If you want to save money on groceries, one needs a reliable price book.
-
Step 3
Save MoneyCompare the price books. In my comparison (see picture in Step 2 and Step 3), Aldi's is cheaper by $22.00. Your comparison should be different because it will depend in what part of the country you live and what items you chose. But try this experiment to see where you save the most money.

on 11/20/2008 Aldi is one of my monthly stops and I save roughly $15-$20 at Aldi on the same items I'd purchase at WalMart. It's an excellent store!

on 11/13/2008 Great article. I love Aldi's too but there is not one close to me either. The Duggar's on Discovery Health channel with the 17 kids and counting show also suggest Aldi's!
