What should you look for when choosing speakers? Find out.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Speakers to look through
  1. Step 1

2.1 vs. Surround Sound: 2.1 is a lot easier to set up and maintain, and is generally less expensive. Surround Sound, on the other hand, usually sounds better.

  2. Step 2

Style/Color: What's your style? There are wide variety of styles of speakers to match your personality. If you don't care, there's even more.

  3. Step 3

Wired vs. Wireless: Strangely, not all speakers have wireless remotes. In fact, a lot of speakers don't. If you want a wireless remote, however, there are plenty that offer that option.

  4. Step 4

Frequency Response: The frequency of sound humans can hear ranges from about 15-20Hz to 20,000Hz. The bigger the range of the speaker, the better.

  5. Step 5

Reviews: Reviews reveal everything regarding a product. Read as many of them as you can so nothing surprises you when you turn on your speakers.
