Know the simple steps to making those gooey sticky buns without breaking a sweat. These sweet round buns are also perfect for parties or simple get-together with close friends. Sit back and relax and enjoy these stick buns. Serve with hot tea or coffee.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4000 gm Doughnut or Bun Dough
  • 500 gm Sultanas
  • 500 gm Softened Unsalted Butter
  • 575 gm Granulated Sugar
  • 1:1 Sugar Syrup
  1. Step 1

    Mix together the sultanas, lemon juice, and sugar. Roll out the dough to 1.5 cm thick.

  2. Step 2

    Spread the softened butter over and sprinkle with the sultanas and sugar.

  3. Step 3
     

    Starting from the end furtherest away from you, roll the dough towards you to form a ’sausage’ shape.

  4. Step 4

    Cut into units 4.5 cm long and arrange around the inside of the greased ring.

  5. Step 5

    Prove at 40°c with little steam. Bake at 180°c for 14-16 minutes.

  6. Step 6

    Allow to cool slightly and brush with the sugar syrup and lots of granulated sugar.
