Things You'll Need:
- Cupcakes in any flavor you like
- 1 bag of jelly slice candy
- 1 can of white frosting
- 1 can of chocolate frosting
- a small round decorating tip
- either a decorating bag or ziplock bag
- optional-decorator tip 352 and jimmies
-
Step 1
Arrange your jelly slicesUsing a serated knife cut your jelly slices in half. If you have chosen to use multiple colors go ahead and arrange them, like you see in the picture. This is achieved by taking both halves of the jelly slice and putting them together so they look like a circle. Notice that one slice has been laid on its side to hide the crease.
-
Step 2
Pipe a head and neckNext, you will want to spread a little chocolate icing over your cupcake, just a thin layer. Now, lay your arranged jelly slices on the cupcake. Using your decorator bag and round decorator tip, pipe a head onto the jelly slice in the front. Go ahead and add a neck. *If you want a slightly more realistic appearance, add some white to your chocolate to lighten it. This will help your turkey stand out.
-
Step 3
To finish your turkey add eyes, you can do this with a toothpick. Simply pick up a little white icing on the toothpick and gently press it to the head. Repeat with a little chocolate for the iris.
-
Step 4
Optional Steps: You can use a decorator tip #352 to pipe wings onto your turkey. You can achieve this result by cutting a V-shape into the end of a ziplock bag too. Jimmies are a really cute way to finish off this design, just sprinkle them around the exposed area top of the cupcake after you have completed the turkey.
