      Gatorade

      Drink plenty of fluids. When you have diarrhea, drink plenty of fluids, to replace the fluids that you lost. If you do not replace the fluids, you will suffer from severe dehydration. Drinking Gatorade or any other sports drink, is great for replacing lost minerals and vitamins. If the diarrhea seems to be getting worse after 1 or 2 days, its time to see your doctor.

      Carrot juice

      Drink fruit juice to relieve diarrhea. Fruit juices such as carrot juice is great for treating diarrhea and getting you back on track. Wash a few carrots, scrape them, slice and blend. Squeeze a piece of lemon in the carrot juice, add enough sugar to sweeten it to your taste. Drink a cup 3 times a day. For young children you can cook and puree the carrot instead. It is good for treating diarrhea and replenishing the body, with the lost vitamins and minerals.

      Garlic

      Use garlic of diarrhea cure. Garlic is a another great home remedy for treating diarrhea. Garlic can be slightly cooked, eaten raw (for who can stand the taste), or made in the form of a tea. If you rather making a tea, you can use honey or sugar to sweeten and drink at least 3 times a day.

      Use ginger as a diarrhea treatment. Ginger is an effective method for treating diarrhea. Ginger can be found in grocery stores or health food stores. Wash, peel and either grate or slice a piece of ginger. Add the ginger to boiling water, let it boil for 1-2 minutes, sweeten and drink 3 times a day. If you don't have fresh ginger, the powdered one is just as effective.

      Yogurt

      Eat yogurt for diarrhea. Eating plain yogurt with active cultures are also a good home remedy to treat diarrhea. When you are buying yogurt, look for the one that has, "Live cultures," and "Lactobacillus acidophilus," in it. Some yogurts do not have, live cultures because they have been pasteurized, these will not help your diarrhea.

  • Boiling rice and drinking the water, is said to treat diarrhea.

  • Eating an apple, that has turned brown after peeling, will stop your diarrhea.

  • Eat ripe bananas to help treat your diarrhea.

  • Children and elderly are to be given special attention during a diarrhea attack.

  • Avoid certain foods such as dairy products, except for yogurt.
