Imagine this as your Thanksgiving Centerpiece.

If you are hosting a Thanksgiving dinner, then decorating with a harvest theme is an absolute must. These carved pumpkin mini-light sets are the perfect center piece for any Thanksgiving Dinner.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • mini pumpkins
  • sharp paring knife
  • mini tea light candles
  • serving dish
  • assorted holiday trimmings
  1. Step 1

Completely wash and dry the mini pumpkins. Be sure to use a scouring pad and mild detergent. The last thing you need is dirty decorations on your table.

  2. Step 2

Using the tea light candle as a template, trace and cut a hole for the candle to sit in. Be sure to clean out any seeds and pumpkin guts. You want the hole for the pumpkins to be carved cleanly.

Involve kids in the process when you can. They will enjoy this pumpkin craft.

  3. Step 3

Insert the tea lights and place the pumpkins on a serving dish. Use any seasonal decorations such as wheat, berries, or nuts to accent the pumpkin lights.

These pumpkin sets are great to set out on either side of the turkey plate, so consider making two of them.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you chill the mini pumpkins in a bath of ice water before you carve them, they will last longer.
  • Keep the decoration in the refrigerator until you are ready to use them.
  • Keep any flammable materials on the table away from the candles. The last thing you need is Thanksgiving Flambe'.
