How to Start an Affiliate Marketing Business – Help for Stay at Home Moms

Many stay at home moms choose to get involved in affiliate marketing because it doesn’t have to take a lot of their time. They can do it whenever they have the time. It’s not like a traditional business where you would have to worry about shipping products out, handling customer service and dealing with angry customers. With affiliate marketing all you have to worry about is promoting your affiliate links. That’s your job. Promote, Promote, Promote.

1. Figure out which market you want to be in – There are a lot of markets you can choose from. The health market, the love market, the make money market. Pick a market that provides you with several different products you can promote. All 3 of those do just that. The reason you want to pick a market and not a single product is because once you start promoting and build your opt in list you will want to be able to offer that list new products as they come along. Focus on a market that has several products for you to promote.

2. Figure out which product you want to promote first – Now after you have figured out which market you would like to focus on it is now time to pick your first product. Join one of the many affiliate networks such clickbank and start browsing through there huge catalog. Though you will have several products to choose from only pick one to focus on in the beginning. Promote that one product and once it starts getting sales you can move on to the next one.

3. Start promoting so you can get traffic to your affiliate links – Once you have decided on the product you want to promote it is time to start promoting it. There are several ways you can go about promoting your products and out of all of them article marketing is probably the best one. Writing articles is the best free traffic generation technique I have ever used. Try to write about 30 articles for each product you are promoting. You can write more if you like. Once you have finished writing those 30 articles you will need to start submitting them to a few of the article directories. I personally use articledashboard, ezinearticles, goarticles, ideamarketers and ehow. Submit all 30 articles to all five of those directories. Once you have finshed that you can find the next product you want to promote and start writing articles for that product as well. Rinse, Lather and repeat.
