Wax Your Legs at Home
Wax Your Legs at Home

Every woman loves to have smooth legs, unfortunately shaving doesn't quite deliver. With these easy to follow steps, you can get salon smooth legs at home!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Waxing kit that includes wax, strips, spatula and calming pads
  1. Step 1

Two days before waxing the legs, exfoliate them with an exfoliating scrub and brush or sponge. Do not shave, as the hair must be about ¼ of an inch long for the wax to have something to stick to.

  2. Step 2

Apply baby powder to the legs to remove any oils, which will also aid in the wax sticking to the hair.

  3. Step 3

Heat the wax according to the package instructions; either in the microwave or in warm water. Be careful not to overheat.

** Try Nads at-home waxing kit which contains everything you need.

  4. Step 4

Apply the wax in the direction the hair grows, holding the applicator stick at a 90-degree angle. Work in small sections, applying a thin layer of wax.

Before the wax cools, apply the waxing strip to the area. Rub lightly over the strip to ensure that it is completely adhered.

  5. Step 5

Grab one end of the strip and quickly pull it in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Do not pull the strip straight up as this can be quite painful and will not completely remove all hairs.

  6. Step 6

Apply a calming lotion or pad specifically for waxing. Look for one containing salicylic acid to prevent ingrown hairs.

Tips & Warnings
  • To remove excess wax, use a cotton ball dipped in baby oil- avoid hot water immediately after waxing.
