How to Represent Yourself in Small Claims Court
These are some tips to aid you if you find yourself in a situation where you have to go to small claims court.

Make sure that you are dressed professionally and neatly. Your appearance should indicate your respect for the court as well as how seriously you perceive the situation.

Make sure that you address the judge and the other litigant(s)(your opponent) with nothing but the utmost in politeness and respect.

Have all of your documents, photographs, letters, cancelled checks, receipts, bills, etc completely organized.

When it is your turn to present your case, make sure that you are brief and to the point. Get on with what you have to say in a succinct manner and do not ramble on.
Whether or not you win your case can sometimes have more to do with the way that you present yourself than the actual facts of the case itself; especially if the facts are blurred and hard to discern. At the very least, it is always best to present yourself well in every situation.
