So you're pissed off that Proposition 8 has passed. Maybe you're gay, maybe you're not, but you realize that gay marriage is a human right and should be allowed in California. Don't just get mad, get your word out and protest.

Ask friends, family members, co-workers and the like, if they'd be interested in protesting Prop 8 with you over the weekend. Start organizing as soon as possible (Monday if possible) and plan the protest for a Saturday or Sunday--or both. Pick a busy intersection or street with heavy foot and car traffic. This is where your signs come in. Remember, this should be a peaceful protest. Chants and signs are fine, but keep any actions that might cause a fine or arrest away from your group.

If you're really crazy, threaten what Melissa Etheridge is threatening and don't pay your taxes. This is what she's claiming she's going to do--she's not going to pay her taxes. I'd look into getting a very good lawyer if you choose to do this, but as she says, if you're not a human being in the eyes of the government, they they shouldn't expect your taxes.
Tips & Warnings
Do not to anything against the law when protesting. Cops are looking for any excuse to arrest most protesters if they cross the line of the law.
