Things You'll Need:
- Refrigerator
- Water
-
Step 1
Method One: Remove frozen turkey from the freezer and place it in the refrigerator. Do this 24-32 hours before you plan on cooking the turkey. When placing in the refrigerator, place on the 2nd or 3rd shelf instead of the top. The top shelf is the coldest and won't allow your turkey to defrost fast enough.

Step 2
When placing in the refrigerator, place on the 2nd or 3rd shelf instead of the top. The top shelf is the coldest and won't allow your turkey to defrost fast enough.
-
Step 3
Method Two: Remove the frozen turkey from the freezer and place in cold/warm water. You can fill your sink up with water and place the turkey in it or you can get an extra deep pot and submerge the turkey in water.
-
Step 4
Never place frozen turkey in HOT water! Make sure you submerge the turkey in the water so the defrost time doesn't take as long. Keep plastic wrapping on turkey until it's all the way defrosted.
