"Plan Ahead"
Planing ahead will save you time & money. Most vehicles are most fuel-efficient when the engine is warm. Combine several stops in one afternoon and avoiding rush hour traffic. If you want to save even more money, find a "one stop venue store" rather than driving to multiple stores. Before leaving home, have a list, check the web for best deals on the items you need and find the best gas prices, plan your trip accordingly. -
Step 2
Save your moneyAccording to the Federal Trades Commission, safe driving can improve your gas mileage by almost 5%. This means driving the speed limit, avoid sudden stops and aggressive take-off. Gas mileage will decrease quickly with speeds above 60 mph.

Ongoing maintenance of your vehicle is very important. A few important up-keeps include;; checking air filters twice a year, inflating tires to the proper levels specified in your cars manual and tune-ups. Tune-ups make sure your spark plugs are in good shape & that your timing is correct. Also, changing the "fuel filter" will save a lot on your gas. Have your tires rotated often and the oil changed specified in your manual. -
Step 4
"Loose the Roof Rack"
An unused roof rack will drag the vehicle down greatly. The rack will drag your vehicles gas efficiency down by 5%.
Also, flags that are on your car, like: your favorite team or state, will cost you gas mileage -
Step 5
It is o.k to use the A/C
Using the air-conditioning in your vehicle may seem to use more gas. However, leaving the windows down actually will drag the vehicle down more and burn more gas.
