Are you experiencing challenges in creating an appealing profile for an internet dating site? Follow these simple suggestions to attract more daters and improve the quality of your internet dating experience.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Post a recent, clear and accurate photograph of yourself in a relaxed and natural pose. Your photos should accurately represent who you are, so that there are no surprises when you meet potential candidates.

  2. Step 2

Maintain a positive tone throughout your profile, and focus on the reasons you're excited about meeting new people. Any negative mention of bad dates or your last, nasty break-up will only convince others that you're not ready to move forward.

  3. Step 3

Write about your personal values versus creating a list of requirements that you'd like potential dates to possess. Clearly identifying the qualities that most matter to you is a great way to attract like-minded others.

  4. Step 4

Take your sunglasses off for your photos. The eyes are the windows to the soul and they can give a glimpse into what lies within. Dark sunglasses may lead others to think you have something to hide.

  5. Step 5

Remain flexible about the physical attributes that you desire in a partner. Imagine missing out on a chance to meet the guy or girl of your dreams because they fell an inch short of your height requirement, or because their body type is "average" versus "slender." Keeping an open mind will broaden your possibilities.

  6. Step 6

Incorporate some humor into your profile by sharing a funny incident that's happened to you as a kid or adult. People who are able to laugh at themselves and see the humor in difficult situations are very appealing.

  7. Step 7

Have three of your closest friends review your profile and ask them to give you honest, constructive feedback. Make sure that at least one of those friends is within the age range and of the same gender as the individuals you're trying to attract. ASk them, "would you want to date me based on my profile?"
