This easy and delicious butter cream icing will make your cup cakes and cakes tasty. This recipe is also perfect for decorating your holiday cookies. This butter cream icing allows for your creativity for adding colors to your homemade goodies.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 cup of softened butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • 1/8 cup milk
  • 4 cups of confectioners sugar
  • Electric mixer
  • Medium bowl
  • Food coloring (optional)
  1. Step 1
    Crean butter
     
    Crean butter

    In medium bowl, use electric mixer and beat butter and vanilla flavoring until it has a creamy texture.

  2. Step 2
    Add confectioners sugar
     
    Add confectioners sugar

    Add milk into the mixture a little at a time. Slowly add confectioners sugar a little at a time and beat until completely blended. If icing is too thin, add a little more confectioners sugar. If the icing is too dry, add a little more milk.

  3. Step 3
    Blend completely

    Continue to beat the icing with the electric mixer for about one minute. Scrape the sides of the bowl periodically.

    You can use your creativity and put a portion of icing in small bowls to make colors. Use food coloring and mix well.

    Add icing to your favorite homemade goodies.
