How to Make an Orange Julius at Home
Mmmm! Not the best thing for this time of year, but it does work for a great mall shopping session...If you haven't had one of these, then you should definitely try this! It's very similar to the Julius packages that you can purchase from your grocer, but even better because it's just right! Hope you enjoy this tasty drink! Yummy! Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 6 oz. of orange juice, frozen and not prepared
- 1 cup of whole milk (this tastes much better than the other milks (and closer to the actual) but low-fat milk is okay to use)
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp. of vanilla extract (better than imitation for the real deal taste)
- 8 ice cubes

Now, you can blend these ingredients together for 1-2 minutes, adding the ice cubes in one at a time, until it's smooth with just a bit of ice chunk texture. Every Orange Julius worker tends to blend the cubes in a bit differently unless you tell them specifically (sometimes...customer service isn't the same as it used to be!)

Tips & Warnings
If you happen to save some of your fountain drink plastic cups and their lids, use them when you feel like taking an Orange Julius to go!
For an even different taste for those of you who like to experiment, add some nutmeg or ginger!
Make sure that you're using your lid and that it's completely secured/fastened (however your blender is shut completely.)
More cubes of ice mostly add to make a watered down Julius.
