Step 1
Decorate a tree or bush outside your home. Who says you have to have an indoor Christmas tree. You can use most of the same things you would use indoors, however, you wouldn't want to put out ornaments that could be tarnished or ruined by the weather.
-
Step 2
Hang ornament from a potted plant or cactus. Check hobby stores for tiny ornaments and hooks. You can get just about any size ornament these days. You can even put lights on an indoor plant for added Christmas pizzazz.
-
Step 3
Place your favorite ornaments in a large glass container or hurricane vase. Drape greenery around the base of the vase. You can put many of these throughout your home so you can utilize all of your ornaments.
-
Step 4
If you have a staircase, hang garland and greenery from it. You can then hang ornaments from the garland. Weave lights around the banister or in and out of rungs of the staircase.
-
Step 5
Purchase some bendable wire from a hardware store and form a tree shape. You can make this any size you want to because it will hang from the wall and not take up space. Hang ornaments from the "branches" of the tree or attach extra wire to make inner branches and hang ornaments there also.

on 11/11/2008 I also love Step 3. It's a great way to highlight special ornaments even if you DO have room for a tree. Great info!
