Things You'll Need:
- Water
- Bowl
- Cutting Knife
- Strainer
-
Step 1
The Pomegranate's CrownFirst, you will need to carefully cut off the top part of the pomegranate (the crown) using your knife. Throw this away.
-
Step 2
Visible Score LinesGently cut the pomegranate into sections following the visible score lines. These are the white "pulp" areas.
-
Step 3
The ArilsPlace these into a bowl with water and gently scoop the fruit/seeds (called arils) out with your fingers.
-
Step 4
The arils will sink to the bottom of the bowl. Take everything else and throw it in the trash. All you should be left with is the actual fruit and the water.
-
Step 5
Strain the arils and water then enjoy your snack!
