Here's a nice warm casserole dish that can be made with the left-over turkey from Thanksgiving. Serve it with a salad and rolls and it makes a great winter's day meal!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 cups diced cooked turkey
  • 1 4 oz. can of mushroom slices, drained
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped pimento
  • 1/4 cup onion
  • 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 2 10 1/2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 3 oz. can of chowmein noodles
  • Cooking spray or margarine to grease pan
  • 2 quart casserole dish Spray
  1. Step 1

Dice cooked turkey on a cutting board. Put diced cooked turkey in a large mixing bowl and combine with the poultry seasoning.

  2. Step 2

Chop the celery, green pepper, onion and pimento. Add the chopped ingredients to the mixing bowl and mix all ingredients together.

  3. Step 3

In a separate bowl, blend mushroom soup and milk and then pour into the turkey mixture.

  4. Step 4

Grease 2 quart casserole dish with cooking spray or margarine.

  5. Step 5

Pour all ingredients into the greased casserole dish. Sprinkle the chowmein noodles around the edges of the casserole and pat down gently into the casserole ingredients.

  6. Step 6

Bake in oven at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. Makes approximately 6 servings.

  7. Step 7

NOTE: Cream of Chicken or Cream of Celery can be substituted for the Cream of Mushroom. The recipe is also good with chicken or tuna as a substitute.
