This article will teach you how to create a planet with Photoshop CS4. This is a new technique using the new 3d tools.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A computer
  • Photoshop CS4
  1. Step 1

    Create a new image in CS4. Any size will work. Make sure you start with a black background.

  2. Step 2

    Create a new layer.

  3. Step 3

    Go to filters, Render, Clouds and click on clouds.

  4. Step 4

    Go to filters, render, difference clouds and click difference clouds

  5. Step 5

    Hold down ctl and tap F 3 or 4 times.

  6. Step 6

    Go up to your new 3D menu, new shape from layer, and click sphere.

  7. Step 7

    Go over to the layers pallet and right click on the planet layer. Then click rasterize 3D

  8. Step 8

    Go up to your menu and select edit, adjustments, and click color balance. Move the sliders around until you get the color you want. Then click ok.

  9. Step 9

    Now get your blur tool at 50% and go around the out side of the sphere.

  10. Step 10

    Last but not last double click the planet layer to bring up the layer styles menu and click outer glow. Select the color you want and click ok. Congrats your all done.
