Cooking a juicy turkey really isn't that hard, with a little know how!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Turkey
  • Salt
  • Foil
  • 1 stick of butter
  1. Step 1

Remove giblets from turkey cavity. Rinse turkey, and pat dry. Rub turkey cavity with salt. Do not use salt in the turkey cavity if you plan on stuffing the bird. Place one stick of butter whole inside the turkey. I also use two pieces of garlic, inside the turkey right along with the butter.

  2. Step 2

Cover turkey with foil, and bake on 325 degrees. Follow time chart on the turkey bag. You should approximate size by 1 pound per person. So a twenty pound turkey, should be plenty enough to serve twenty people.

  3. Step 3

Baste turkey every hour. Remove foil during last 2 hours of cooking time. Do not over cook. over cooking may cause the turkey to become dry.
One hour before turkey is done, you may cut the leg holder to let the legs spread during last hour.
