Feed Your Baby

Sometimes feeding your baby can be a challenge. Your baby may spit his/her food out, lose concentration, or try to play with anything (anything at all) to avoid eating. But don't stress, there is a solution!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A sense of humor
  1. Step 1

Place your baby on his/her high chair and show that you have the baby food in your hands.

  2. Step 2

Start spoon feeding your baby. If your baby spits out the food from the beginning then here is what you need to do: make feeding fun!

  3. Step 3

Take that spoon and pretend its an airplane zooming into the baby's mouth. Or make some interesting noises that catches your baby's attention and smile and clap once your baby gets a mouthful of food. This will encourage your baby to eat since they love attention.

  4. Step 4

Another method is to show your baby that you like the food too. Pretend eating your baby's food and saying yummy yummy and then put the spoon in your baby's mouth so that your baby can have a try. Your baby trusts you, if the food is good enough for you then it's good enough for him/her. Feeding your baby is like a business. You have to sell it to them. If it's not interesting then they won't buy it.

Tips & Warnings
  • The above tips are tried and tested methods that worked on my baby, who is so active that she finds eating to be a waste of her exploration time. However, I made it worth her while and so should you if you want your baby to eat.
