Things You'll Need:
- Healthy, disease free blood
- A couple of hours
-
Step 1
Find Your Nearest Plasma / Blood Donation CenterLocate Your Nearest Plasma Donation Center. This part is easy. Even most medium sized towns have a center set up to accept plasma donations. My town has 45,000 residents and it took me 30 seconds on Google to find a center a few miles from my house.
-
Step 2
Call to Set Up an Appointment to Donate and Ask About Payment Rates. My local center pays $20 per donation and gives you a $10 bonus if you set up two donations in a single week. If you donate twice a week (as many college students in my town do) you can make over $200 per month. I have also heard that larger cities often pay more.
-
Step 3
Donating Plasma Saves Lives and Makes Extra CashDonate Plasma. The process takes about two hours and is not painful. You will feel an initial needle prick (just like when you get a shot) and then nothing after that. Most centers have movies playing for people to watch as they donate or you can mess around on your laptop, read a book, do homework, etc.
