If you have oily hair and in need of a solution then the saying "You are what you eat" really comes into play.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Willpower
  1. Step 1

Many people don't realize that the condition of their hair is directly linked to what they eat. Your body is your temple and what you feed yourself will not only effect your hair but also your entire body.

  2. Step 2

To treat oily hair, you must change your diet. I'm not talking about drastic changes, just simple ones that will help your hair from oiling up.

  3. Step 3

Instead of eating cheese, butter, milk, and cream, switch to low-fat cottage cheese and skimmed milk.

  4. Step 4

Substitute fatty meats like pork and lamb with grilled lean steak.
Avoid fried foods, sausages, bacon, salami, smoked salmon, sardines, or any food served or prepared with oil, mayonnaise, salad dressing, nuts, and pickles.

  5. Step 5

You're probably wondering what's left to eat? Well you could try eating vegetables and lean meat. You can add spices to flavor it up. Just because you're eating healthy doesn't mean it won't be delicious. And remember, if you can't change your diet, then simply lessen the quantity of the above mentioned foods. Trust me, it WILL make a difference!
