Want a delicious Taco Dip? This is an easy recipe and tastes great too! Use taco sauce instead of salsa. This dip is a big hit and a must take to a party with you. It was my biggest hit at cookouts.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 8oz pkg of cream cheese.
  • 1 8oz jar of mild or hot taco sauce.
  • 1 small tomato, diced.
  • 1 small green pepper, diced.
  • 1 pkg of shredded Sharp cheese about( white or orange).
  • 1 bag of Taco Chips.
  1. Step 1

Let package of cream cheese (you can also use low fat cream cheese) sit until room temperature (it is easier to spread).

  2. Step 2

Spread the cream cheese on a round dish or pan to cover (just leave about 1/2 inch around the side open).

  3. Step 3

Pour taco sauce on top of cream cheese and spread, use your judgment on how much taco sauce to use. I usually don't use the whole jar.

  4. Step 4

On top of taco sauce place diced tomatoes and green peppers.

  5. Step 5

Spread the shredded cheese on top of the mixture. Cover the dip and place in the refrigerator. Let sit out before dipping so the cream cheese can soften up.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can shred your own Sharp cheese and use it instead of the already shredded cheese (it is fresher and tastes great) Great snack for parties or just to munch on. I also pit the tomatoes and just use the meat. You can also use red peppers or any kind of pepper you like. I like using scoopers taco chips.
