Hide Christmas Gifts From Your Children
Hide Christmas Gifts From Your Children

Hiding Christmas gifts from your children can be a bit tricky. As your children get older, it can be even harder to find places to hide Christmas gifts.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Creativity
  1. Step 1

**Hide Christmas Gifts in a Trunk**

This can work whether you actually drive the vehicle regularly or not. Younger kids won't suspect presents are in the trunk of the car. Thank goodness this still works for my kids! *If older kids DO suspect their gifts are in the trunk, the next step would be to make sure your car keys are hidden!

  2. Step 2

    **Hide Christmas Gifts at Work**

If you have the space at work, store Christmas gifts there. If you order Christmas gifts online it's also a great place to have your gifts shipped to. If you work at home, ask your spouse, family member or friend about their place of employment.

  3. Step 3

**Hide Christmas Gifts at Another Home**

This would work best if the home where you'd like to hide gifts didn't have any older children, or any children at all. A grandparent's home or maybe a friend's home would be a great place to hide Christmas gifts.

  4. Step 4

**Hide Christmas Gifts in Storage Bins**

If you already have storage bins that you store things in, this could be perfect, even with older children. If you need more storage, just purchase a few more bins, put as many Christmas gifts into those bins as you can and then mix the bins in with your other storage bins.

  5. Step 5

**Hide Christmas Gifts in Garage Rafters**

Hey...you have to get creative, kids are smart! And incredibly snoopy. If you can, hide some Christmas gifts up in the rafters of your garage.

  6. Step 6

**Hide Christmas Gifts in a Shed**

If you have a shed in your yard that has a lock on it, you could hide Christmas gifts there. Be sure to keep the key with you at all times.

  7. Step 7

    **Hide Christmas Gifts in Storage**

Obtain a rental storage space. It will be impossible for your children to find Christmas gifts here. It will cost you a monthly fee depending on where you go, but you can rest assure that your kids won't be able to find any Christmas gifts!

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to hide the Christmas gifts in different places.
  • If your kids do snoop and find a gift, bring it back to the store and get your money back! (That's what my parents always threatened they'd do!)
  • Be sure you don't forget where you hide the Christmas gifts!
