So you want to become a certified pharmacy technician? Here's how you do it!

1. Attend either a two year training school such as Everest University for an AS in Pharmacy Technology or diploma program in pharmacy.

2. Register for the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam) at www.ptcb.org at least two months before the test date. The cost is $129.

3. Study for the exam using a study guide which can be bought on Amazon or at Books a Million.

4. Take the exam and pass!

5. Your now a Certified Pharmacy Technician and may obtain employment. Congrats!

Tips & Warnings

• Make sure to register for the exam early as it fills up and is only offered three times a year.
• You cannot retake the exam unless you wait at least 90 days.
