Cater Your Thanksgiving Party

Throwing a Thanksgiving party with friends and family? Trying to figure out what to serve as far as snacks, dinner and desserts? Here are a couple simple steps and tips to help you figure out what you'd like to serve and if it's going to be enough.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with internet access
  • Printer
  • RSVP list
  • Local grocery store
  • List
  1. Step 1

    How many guests?
First you need to figure out how many people are going to be expected.

  2. Step 2

    Recipes and serving sizes.
Visit http://www.allrecipes.com, they have just about every recipe you could ever think of. They also have an amazing feature that allows you to type in how many people the meal is being made for and it adjusts the ingredients and directions according to your needs.
They also have recipes according to where the foods will be served, indoors and out.

  3. Step 3

Narrow it down, make a list and go shopping.
Narrow down the recipes, keeping in mind the snacks, dinners, sides and desserts. Make a list of all the ingredients you need to buy. Figure out what you are going to serve the food on, do you need to buy platters and bowls?
Go to the store and make sure you buy everything you need.

  4. Step 4

HELP ME WITH ALL THIS FOOD.
Find as many friends as you can to help you out with the food preparation. Ask a neighbor to help, that way there is a whole extra kitchen. Make sure you have enough time to prepare everything and enough storage in your fridge and freezer.
