Things You'll Need:
- 2 cups Mediterranean-style yogurt, (may substitute with conventional yogurt)
- 1 large English cucumber (peeled, shredded and drained)
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
- 1 tablespoon mint, chopped
- 1 tablespoon dill, chopped
- 1 ounces lemon juice
- Dill
- Salt and pepper to taste
-
Step 1
Combine all the ingredient in a bowl and cover. Stir and add some dill! You can taste it to see if you'd like to add any more of any of the ingredients, Tztaziki is usually used on Gyros, meat or chicken is really delicious.
-
Step 2
Place in refrigerator and store over night, this helps the ingredient's aromas mix, the dill is what gives it the spotted look, but not only that it also gives it a great taste.
-
Step 3
Remove any liquid that has come to the surface, stir, and enjoy! Tzaziki is great with Pita chips, Gyros wraps, cuscus, anything you can think of adding a delicious Mediterranean, more like, a Greek touch. Tzaziki is relatively easy to make and you can impress your guests in your next house get together.
