Things You'll Need

  • 2 tbsp. A. P. F. (all purpouse flour)
  • 2 tsp. seafood redi-base
  • 1/2 tsp. old bay seafood seasoning (recipe in my articles)
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce (I prefer to use Lee & Perrin's brand)
  • 2 tbsp. dry sherry
  • 2 tbsp. heavy cream

Instructions

    • 1

      Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the flour to create a nice roux. Slowly whisk in the water and the redi-base until it's blended.

    • 2

      Add in your old bay seafood seasoning, the paprika, and the worcestershire sauce.

    • 3

      Remove the sauce from the heat and add the sherry and cream, slowly whisking it in and serve, or add to another recipe or dish.
