Bay leaf is great for cooking. It make food smell delicious. Dried bay leaves fragrant is herbal.

  1. Step 1

    The most common use of bay leaves are for cooking. You can use them to cook soup, stew, steam, stir fry, etc. Use the whole leaves for cooking and pick them up after cooking. It give herbal flavor to the food.

  2. Step 2

    Boiled clams or shrimps! Add bay leaves, salt and minced garlic to boil clams or shrimps to give a nice flavor to boiled clams or shrimps. Some people also drink a little bit of the broth while eating these shell fish. Eat them with melted butter and lemon, sprinkle them with bay seasoning or eat with spicy sauce on the side.

  3. Step 3
