How to Enjoy the Kerbeck Toys for Tots Run in Atlantic City, NJ

The Toys for Tots Run in Atlantic City, New Jersey, is sponsored by the world's largest Corvette dealer, Kerbeck. While this event is exciting for Corvette owners and is talked about frequently on Corvette online forums, the event is really a chance to collect toys for underprivileged children for the Christmas holiday. It doesn't hurt that there are hot cars, a chance to run down the Atlantic City Expressway at top speeds without getting a ticket, and free food.

Instructions

1. 

   Arrive early at the Farleigh Dickinson rest stop on the Atlantic City Expressway in New Jersey. The event is held during the month of October and begins at noon. Try to get there at least an hour early to mingle with other Corvette owners and take pictures. Meet up with your Corvette Club, if you are a part of one, and cruise to the rest stop together.

2. 

   Get in the right lane of the Atlantic City Expressway once the event starts, if you plan on driving slowly. If you are planning on driving as fast as you want, get the in the left lane and get past the toll booth, just 2 miles from the rest stop, before kicking it into high gear. Many Corvette enthusiasts have gone as fast as 180 mph during this event, so decide before getting on the Expressway if this is for you. Fortunately, the Expressway is closed down to other drivers during this time.

3. After the cruise from the Farleigh Dickenson rest stop, meet at the baseball stadium across the street from the Kerbeck dealership for several hours of fun, free food and donating toys to a good cause.

4. Enjoy a free lunch with other Corvette lovers.

5. Inspect Kerbeck's inventory on display if you are interested in purchasing a new Corvette. Talk to Kerbeck representatives on site if you have any questions.

6. Stay around for exciting free raffle prizes that includes hats, shirts, Zaino waxing kits, bar stools, key chains and leather jackets. So many prizes are usually donated that it takes at least a half an hour or more to get through all the prizes. Tickets are also sold for a chance to win races on several local raceways.
