How to Complete the Helicopter Job in "Grand Theft Auto Vice City"

In the PS2 video game "Grand Theft Auto Vice City" you play as a career criminal trying to build an illegal empire by slowing working your way up the organized crime food chain. There are several jobs during the game that have you piloting different types of vehicles, such as the Helicopter job where you take control of a small remote control helicopter. You can easily complete this difficult job by planning ahead and finishing the objectives in a logical order.

Instructions

1. Drive over to the construction site any time after completing the golf course job and stand in the glowing pink circle. Watch the cut-scene that will then occur as the politician named Avery asks you to plant bombs in a rival's building.

2. Run south down the street after the cut-scene ends and get into the van with the glowing arrow above it to begin the job.

3. Move the remote control helicopter by pressing the "R2" and "L2" buttons the controller to turn right or left and then push forward on the main directional stick to move straight ahead. Press the "Triangle" button repeatedly to move up higher in the air.

4. Hover with the helicopter over one of the four bombs in the parking lot to pick it up and then fly over to the building to the east. Go up the staircase to the top floor and drop the bomb into the canister that has a pink circle around it.

5. Return to the parking lot and pick up the second bomb. Take it to the third floor and drop it off in the glowing canister.

6. Repeat this process with the last two bombs, dropping them off on the second and then first floor. Drop off all four bombs within 7 minutes to complete the job and get paid $1,000.

Tips & Warnings

• You can kill the construction workers who attack you by running your helicopter blades into them. The 7-minute time frame doesn't start until you pick up the first bomb, so you can go into the building and kill all of the construction workers with the helicopter blades before starting the time count-down. The location to drop the bombs is indicated on your mini-map by a pink square. If the location is on a higher floor that your helicopter it will instead show as a pink triangle.

• Avoid the construction workers on the top floor as they will shoot at your helicopter with pistols. Do not try to work your way up the building, starting at the bottom and then going to the top floor, or you will run out of time and fail the job.
