Instructions

    • 1

Explain to your teen that you want to help him overcome his anger and help him through his frustrations.

    • 2

Have your teen sit in a quiet area of the house, one with soft lighting.

    • 3

Have your teen relax and let her smell a combination of ylang ylang and sweet almond. These two oils help set the stage to relax the stress your teen is feeling. One tsp. of each is sufficient. Your teen can sit in a quiet spot and smell this mixture for about 30 minutes.

    • 4

If the Ylang Ylang mixture does not suit your teen's needs, combine one drop of vetiver oil with rose oil with three drops of orange. This combination is known to reduce stress and anger. Have your teen sit and smell this concoction for another 30 minutes.

If the other two mixtures don't do the trick, mix two drops of orange and bergamot and one drop of Roman chamomile in a bowl and have your teen smell this concoction for the requisite 30 minutes.

Tips & Warnings

  • Most of these oils are safe to put in bathwater. Let your teen have a long soak in a warm tub filled with the oil mixtures.

  • Contact your physician immediately if any allergic reactions occur after the use of the oils.
