Some of the quests you will be assigned in the PC role-playing game Baldur's Gate 2 cannot be immediately completed and will require you to travel to vastly different locations in the game world. You can finish the Dryad Quest, which you will be assigned at the very beginning of the game, by traveling to a grove inhabited by magical Dryads in the area called the Windspear Hills.

Instructions

    • 1
      The Dungeon

Break out of the dungeon cell where your main character starts the game and walk over to the northeastern corner where there are several trees growing.

    • 2
      A Dryad

Speak to the group of green haired dryads who are standing in the center of the trees. Agree to help them by taking their magic acorns and planting them in a grove in the area called the Windspear Hills.

    • 3
      The Acorns

Walk into the area of the dungeon that has a metal forge and kill the dwarf there who will attack your party with a crossbow. Search his body after the battle is over to find the Dryad's acorns.

      The Slums District

Leave the dungeon and go into the city of Athkatla. Head to the Slums District and speak with the man named Jierdan inside the Copper Coronet Tavern. Ask him about the Windspear Hills and he will mark their location on your world map.

      The Windspear Hills

Leave Athkatla and travel to the Windspear Hills. Walk into the grove at the southeast end of the area and give the acorns to the Dryad queen to complete the quest.

Tips & Warnings

  • Your party will get over 32,000 experience points for completing the quest, which will likely put at least one character over the limit and into their next level of experience.

  • The dwarf in the opening dungeon is highly resistant to magical attacks, so have a fighter or barbarian character attack him directly with physical attacks.
