Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be active. Move around as soon as you can after childbirth. Avoid heavy exercise during the first weeks after childbirth. Start with walking around the block. Increase the length of your walk from 5, 10 to 20 minutes a day. At two months after childbirth, you may start doing cardio exercise. It is recommended that you exercise for 30 minutes, at least 3 to 5 times a week.

  2. Step 2

You can lose weight simply by breastfeeding your baby. Studies indicate that breastfeeding burns at least 500 calories daily. When you stop breastfeeding, you need to be careful about your diet, otherwise you will gain a lot of weight.

  3. Step 3

Keep yourself hydrated. Drink 10 glasses of water daily. Avoid sodas and juices with high calories.

  4. Step 4

Keep a healthy diet with a lot of fruits and vegetables. Have a lot of healthy snacks like popcorn, nuts and raisins. Avoid baked goods and junk foods. Eat a low-fat diet with lean meats and whole grains. Eat a lot of small meals throughout the day.

  5. Step 5

Sleep properly. Get as much sleep as you can.
