Instructions

    • 1

Start the washing machine cycle on a low setting with cool water. Add a mild detergent that is safe with colors. If there is a spot that needs to be removed, use a safe spot remover spray. Do not rub the fabric to get out stains, since the napped material can begin to look worn in certain areas. Simply spray the flannel garment, put in the washing machine and allow to run a normal cycle.

Place the washed flannel garment into the dryer and start on a low setting. Low heat can prevent the damage of many fabrics, and it can also preserve the shape and color of the fabric. Remove the garment from the dryer while it is still damp, so that wrinkles are not pressed into the garment.

Hang the flannel on a clothesline outside if you do not wish to use a dryer.
