Instructions for Making Magnetic Jewelry
Hematite, a type of magnetic jewel, has grown in popularity in North America for its aesthetic resemblance to silver, as well as its overall value and magnetic features. It is a great stone to use for jewelry as it can blend well with silver, as well as casual to classy clothing. Making jewelry out of any stone can vary in difficulty, though making yourself a pendant is one of the easiest things to make. By having a hematite pendant, you can benefit not only from its aesthetic appeal but, as some believe, health benefits as well.

1
Taking your aluminum wire, begin wrapping it tightly around your stone. Here you have a variety of options as far as the casing. Most people will do an upward spiral, like the one in the picture, though you can create any kind of pattern that works. The main point is to have a secure casing for your jewel so that it doesn't fall out.

2
Loop the end of the wire. When you are finished wrapping your stone with the wire, leave a little bit at the end and make a tiny loop for your string to go through. Make sure that this loop is aligned correctly on the vertical axis of the stone and the loop itself is perpendicular to that axis - allowing your string to go through nicely without rotating your stone when you put it on.

Slip the rope or string through your loop and perform a figure 8 knot at the end so that your new piece of jewelry can be adjustable. Now wear your new pendant with pride.
