How to Build a Programmer Analyst Resume
A programmer analyst resume has a structure different from other resumes. For example, in addition to education, it needs to also include details about computer expertise and training.
Generally, a programmer analyst resume should be no more than two pages. The exceptions are one page if the applicant is new to the working world, and three pages if the applicant has extensive work experience. However, the length of the resume will ultimately depend on the job the applicant is applying for and his skills.

1
Format contact information. At the top of the resume, type your name in a font size of 16 points or more and left justify it. On the same line as your name, include your address in a smaller font of 10 or 12, and right justify it. Place a thick, black line underneath your name and address; this will function as a divider. Directly beneath this line, type your phone number and email in a small font, and right justify them both.

2
Add a qualifications section, which is a short, introductory paragraph that highlights your skills. Include one or two specific examples. For instance, write "Proven ability in developing company web applications, as demonstrated by the design and programming of an ASP.Net based portal for WizzyBiz.com." If you have certifications and special awards, list them here.

3
Create a computer skills section. Divide this up into appropriate categories such as networking, operating systems, and languages, and include your specific knowledge in comma separated lists. For example, next to languages, write "Java, JavaScript, and C."
-
4
Show highlights of your most important achievements in a "Career Accomplishments" section. Use the company name as a subsection header, and bullet each achievement.
-
5
Include your work history in a "Professional Work Experience" section. List your most recent job first, and add the company name, dates of employment, and job title. For each position you've held, add a bulleted list of your significant contributions and begin these sentences with action verbs. For instance, write "Implemented WLAN for university network engineers to provide secure communication and mobility while troubleshooting on or offsite."
-
6
Create an "Education and Training Section." List degrees you've earned, any specialized training programs, and provide details of your certifications.
-
7
Add a heading entitled "Professional Affiliations" or "Memberships," and include any relevant associations, such as the IEEE Computer Society.
