Step 1
Drink water! I know, you're tired of hearing it, but maybe there is a reason people keep pushing H2O! Studies show that woman who drank at least 4 cups of water each day lost 2lbs more each year! Plus, soda may cause bone loss and osteoporosis so ditch it!
-
Step 2
Eat a high fiber breakfast! Stop feeding your body refined foods in the morning and replace it with a high fiber, high carb breakfast. If you're on the go you no longer have an excuse with the new high fiber granola bars that are on the market these days. They're yummy too! I've tried them.
-
Step 3
Spice it up!! You may remember my article on how to remove the burning of hot peppers from your hands? Well guess what - studys are showing that the Capsaicin, the chemical that cause that burning, may help improve the body's ability to remove insulin from the bloodstream after eating a meal, allowing your body to burn more fat!
-
Step 4
Start adding flaxseed to your recipes. It's easy to find at the supermarket and very easy to disguise in your everyday foods. Throw it in pancake batter or sprinkle in yogurt. It's high in fiber and Omega-3 fatty acids and loaded with antioxidants. The Fiber and Omega-3 combo will really help curb cravings during the day!
-
Step 5
Sprinkle it with cinnamon! Cinnamon helps bring down blood sugar levels which, in turn, help ward off obesity. It is also great for reducing bad cholesterol while good cholesterol levels remain the same.
-
Step 6
Another food packed with Omega-3 fatty acids are Walnuts. So grab a handful of those the next time you need a mid-afternoon snack. The Omega-3's help you feel full longer.
