Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a phone
  • a calm and comforting voice
  1. Step 1

Plan what you are going to say before you get on the phone. Dont get on the phone if you are steaming mad. They will not even listen to you. You become a number when you are mad.

  2. Step 2

When you talk to the phone teller understand that they are just doing there job and might be in a fantastic mood. Dont assume anything. Just state the facts. If you flat out made and error let them know and tell them that you will be making changes in the way you account for your money after. A change is always better that acting disappointed after all you made the mistake.

  3. Step 3

You should be honest with them. They hear lines from people all the time. Be sure to ask for what you want but do it in a way that respects them as a person. The Bank as an organization has no feelings.

  4. Step 4

Every bank has a policy about refunding overdraft fees. Most of the time they can do something about your situation.
