Things You'll Need:
- conscious mind
-
Step 1
WITHOUT GUILT
First, you need to understand and accept that burgers are not health foods. It's the best to eat them knowing it's not supporting your health, you are choosing to eat it for its taste because you enjoy it. It means, eat it without guilt! Very important to enjoy it and eat it without guilt because you don't want to generate inner stress while you are eating your burger. Stress will inhibit proper digestion, and make metabolism sluggish. Simply, have an agreement with yourself that you are having your burger out of joy for its flavor and texture or whatever it appeals to you. -
Step 2
HEALTHIER ROLL
Choose a healthier roll: instead of white roll which is made of refined white flour that is an empty calorie food, lacking almost all minerals and vitamins, make your burger from whole grain or sprouted grain roll/bread. Make sure there are no preservatives and high fructose corn syrup in it either which can be often found in whole grain baked goods, as well. -
Step 3
HEALTHIER MEAT
Choose a healthier meet patties: chicken, beef or fish made of organic, grass-fed, free-range meet, without the use of any antibiotics and hormones. Fish should be wild cold-water fish, not farmed, as the farmed kinds are again raised rapidly using growth hormones. The meat should be lightly cooked in little extra virgin olive or coconut oil+water, not deep-fried which is loaded with trans fats and depleted of nutrients. -
Step 4
HEALTHIER CHEESE
Choose healthier cheese: organic white cheese (yellow cheeses are colored), coming from grass-fed cow, the best is raw cheese. -
Step 5
USE PLENTY VEGETABLES
Use plenty of greens, tomatoes, sprouts, radishes, cucumbers, onions! Choose the organic kind (especially from greens, and tomatoes) and clean them well. -
Step 6
CHEW WELL
Chew your food very well! By chewing, you activate hormones that play important roles in digestion and assimilation. Also, you pre-digest the carbs. You will make your digestion a lot easier by chewing your food a lot. -
Step 7
WHOLE BODY EXPERIENCE
Eat it involving your entire body: pay attention to its flavor, smell, texture, touch, smell, sight, everything! This means you should not eat in front of TV, computer, book, doing homework, office papers, etc. Your whole body should be focused on the eating (receiving) process. This will 100 % support digestion and utilization of nutrients. -
Step 8
SMALLER PORTIONS
Eat only one burger which is enough for a person. You might want to argue in that with me, but try if you are eating slowly, enjoying your meal, using whole body experience, and chewing it thoroughly, you'll notice you will be fulfilled after smaller amount of meal! When we eat fast, distracted with something, we tend to "miss" the eating experience in 70-80 % which leaves us with the impression, we haven't eaten enough. -
Step 9
DON'T DRINK AND EAT AT THE SAME TIME
Don't drink (much) with your food which would dilute your digestive acids hindering digestion. Especially try to avoid soda, caffeine, alcohol and sugary drinks which will trigger fermentation. The same is true if you have a fruit right after your burger. -
Step 10
EAT AROUND NOON
Try to have your burger in the middle of the day when the body is most ready to accept heavy meals. This type of food is very heavy and complex. Don't eat it late evening! -
Step 11
EAT WHEN YOU ARE WELL AND FREE OF STRESS
Don't eat it when you are stressed-out (use breathing exercise to calm down before meal) or sick. This food needs enormous amount of energy to digest. When you are sick or stressed-out, your body needs to conserve energy for healing and dealing with the stress. -
Step 12
AIDS IN CLEANSING
You can take spirulina or chlorella (tablets) which are green algae, and bind to toxins and heavy metals helping your elimination of these unwanted substances. -
Step 13
LIGHT FOLLOWING MEAL
Try to keep it light for the next meal after a heavy burger meal so you can give your digestive tract a break. -
Step 14
EAT WHEN HUNGRY
Eat only out of hunger, not out of boredom, trying to distract yourself, or feeling down. -
Step 15
KEEP IT UP
If you eat your foods this way always, you'll notice gradually a positive change in energy level, digestion, bowel-movements, mood, overall health.
