This is a basic recipe for making Sausage Gravy

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Flower
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Milk
  • Spicy Sausage
  1. Step 1

Get a 1 Gallon Pot and put your sausage in and start frying at a medium temp. Cook till brown(Brown not crispy)

  2. Step 2

Once the sausage is brown start cooking it on low heat. Add a 1/2 cup of flower and mix with just the sausage. After you have done that start out with just one cup of milk added into the pot. Once the gravy gets thick. Go in 1/2 cup increments of milk.(Note: Don't add any salt or pepper yet. By doing this you can taste the gravy after you add milk to it until you cant taste the flower in your gravy)

  3. Step 3

Once you have added enough Milk and you cant taste any flower in the gravy. Use salt and pepper until you get your desired taste.

Tips & Warnings
  • The more sausage you want to taste in your gravy add more sausage.
  • Spicy Sausage makes the best gravy but that is an opinion left up to you
  • EASILY BECOMES A MESSY ENDEVOR

on 11/5/2008 I didn't put any exact measurement. If you just go get a log of Jim Dean sausage that's all i use. And amounts really depend on how many people you are cooking for. So the rest is up to you guy's but i promise these basic instructions will make a really tasty gravy for breakfast!
