Making cornbread dressing is easier and tastier than you think.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Butter
  • Self Rising Cornmeal
  • Flour
  • Eggs
  • Bread crumbs
  • Onions
  • Celery
  • Sage
  • Parsley
  • Pepper
  • poultry season
  • Chicken broth
  • Cream of chicken soup
  1. Step 1

    1 cup Butter.
    3 cups Self rising Cornmeal
    1 cup Flour.
    7 lg Eggs.
    3 cups Buttermilk
    2 Large Onions.
    4 Celery Ribs.
    1/4 cup Sage.
    1/4 cup Parsley.
    1 tbs Pepper.
    2 tbl poultry season
    7 cups Chicken Broth.
    1 can cream of chicken soup.

  2. Step 2

    In a large bowl mix self rising cornmeal, flour, 3 eggs, butter, and buttermilk, together.

  3. Step 3

    Pour in a large greased baking pan. Bake in a pre heated oven at 450 until golden brown, and tooth pick comes out clean.

  4. Step 4

    While cornbread is cooking. Celery, onions need to be Finley chopped. In a pan season, than sauté onion's and celery.

  5. Step 5

    Bread crumbs you an use store brought bread crumbs, or you can use the bread you have at home. If so you need to break the bread up into small pieces.

  6. Step 6

    When cornbread is done, let cool. In a large bowl break up corn bread into small pieces. (Feel free to use your clean hands).

  7. Step 7

    Mix sauté onions, celery, parsley bread crumbs, sage,poultry season pepper,cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth in corn with the cornbread. Mix together well.

  8. Step 8

    Pour dressing mixture into a greased pan. Bake until golden brown.
