Daisies and flowers are really popular, especially for wedding themes. Create your own informal wedding invitations, party invitations, or shower invitations by following the steps shown here.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • cardstock
  • decorative or colored paper
  • flower punch, 3"
  • scissors
  • glue
  • decorative edge scissors
  • computer with word processing program and printer
  1. Step 1

On your computer’s word processing program, set it up so it is landscape or horizontal page layout. Bring up a postcard layout, with 4 boxes on a page. Type your wording twice, once in the top right square and again in the bottom right square. Left align all your words. Now, make a text box and type a phrase like “Come to my Party!” or “Sarah & Brad”. Turn the text box so the box is vertical and the words run from top to bottom. Align the text box so it sits along the far right edge of the invitation. Repeat the text box for the second invitation. For things like wedding registrations or party gift ideas, print those in the top left and bottom left squares.

  2. Step 2

Print one test invitation on regular paper. Hold it up to the paper or card you want to use. Make sure everything looks good. Print your invitations on cardstock or other heavy paper.

  3. Step 3

Cut and fold invitations. Cut 11 x 4 ½. Fold with the party wording on the inside. Fold so they’re 5 ½ x 4 ½ and so they open up like a book, from right to left. Your invitation should be completely blank on the outside.

  4. Step 4

Punch out your flowers. Use contrasting or coordinating paper. You'll need three flowers for every invitation.

  5. Step 5

Glue your flowers, 2-3 on front, 1 on inside. Make sure the front daisies slightly overlap each other. Glue the flowers on the inside wherever you have some space and it doesn’t cover up your text.

  6. Step 6

Cut the far right edge off with decorative scissors about a 1/4 ” or 1/2” in, so it reveals the phrase or names you printed on the right edge.
