Why not make some extra special homemade dog biscuits for your dog? Here is a great recipe for dog biscuits that any dog would enjoy.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup powdered milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups whole-wheat flour
  • Dog bone cookie cutter
  • Greased baking sheet
  • Oven
  1. Step 1

Pour hot water over the margarine in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the powdered milk, salt, sugar and egg. Make sure that the egg is beaten well before adding it to the recipe.

  2. Step 2

Add the flour, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing it into the ingredients well.

  3. Step 3

Knead the mixture for about 5 minutes, adding more flour if necessary to make the dough stiffer.

  4. Step 4

Roll out the dough into a 1/2 inch thickness and cut out shapes with a dog bone cookie cutter. Place the dog biscuits on a greased baking sheet.

  5. Step 5

Bake the homemade dog biscuits for 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Allow the dog biscuits to cool completely. Store the dog biscuits in an airtight container and give them to your dog when you please.

Tips & Warnings
  • Depending on the size of your cookie cutter, you should be able to make approximately 3 dozen homemade dog biscuits from this recipe.
  • If you don't have a dog bone cookie cutter, you can make the dog biscuits in whatever shape you wish.
