Hair care companies have given us so many different types of hair conditioners to choose from, it makes choosing just one almost a chore. Hair conditioners contain ingredients that promise desired results. Some hair conditioners contain aloe or jojoba. These two ingredients are said to be beneficial to dry and brittle hair. Other conditioners contain chamomile, which is hydrating. Then there are those hair conditioners with a myriad of other ingredients designed to mend damaged hair and give it shine. After trying different hair conditioners, you will find one you like the best. Use it, but make it work to the best of its ability. To get the most out of your favorite hair conditioner, just follow these steps and watch your hair conditioner outperform itself.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Shampoo
  • A large towel
  • Hair conditioner of your choice
  1. Step 1

Wet your hair with warm water and wash it with your favorite shampoo.

  2. Step 2

Rinse hair thoroughly with very cool water.

  3. Step 3

With your head lowered, gather your hair into a ponytail at the top of your head and squeeze all the water out of it, starting at the base of the ponytail, working each squeeze to the end of your ponytail.

  4. Step 4

Wrap a towel around your head snuggly, and leave towel on head for a few moments to absorb all excess moisture.

  5. Step 5

Pour a generous amount of hair conditioner into the palm of your hand and apply it to your hair, but avoid getting conditioner on your scalp and apply extra conditioner to the ends of your hair.

  6. Step 6

Pile hair on top of your head and leave conditioner in hair, according to the instructions on the bottle.

  7. Step 7

Thoroughly rinse out conditioner with cool water.

  8. Step 8

Wrap towel around head again to absorb excess moisture.

  9. Step 9

Remove towel and let hair air-dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never rub hair with a towel. Doing so will cause damage to hair.
